DESCRIPTION:Cultural Crossroads\, Inc.\, in partnership with The Links\, Incorporated\, Baton Rouge (LA) Chapter\, presented Significant Voices featuring Naomi DeBerry\, author of My Daddy Needs a Gift and one of TIME’s 2025 Girls of the Year. \nNaomi shared the story behind her children’s book\, inspired by her family’s experience when her father needed a kidney transplant. The program included a book reading\, conversation with the author\, and book signing for 10th- and 11th-grade students. Through her story\, Naomi encouraged literacy\, organ donation awareness\, and young people to recognize the power of their voices.
